At NB Music Studios, I aim to provide a welcoming studio in which each pianist’s learning goals are achieved through quality instruction, steady practice and self discovery. Each musician brings something unique to the studio, and I am delighted to welcome any newcomers to the studio community. I accept students of all ages and skill levels; children, adults, those looking to begin lessons and those who have already been studying for years. My teaching philosophy rests on positive reinforcement, and encouraging self-motivation in my students. My approach to piano lessons integrates theory, history and performance as a holistic package, but I also offer individual theory classes at a variety of levels.
I offer in-person lessons to students in the Ottawa area. At this point, I am no longer starting new students in an online-only model; any students currently taking online-only lessons from me will continue as usual. I do offer online lessons via Zoom as an option for make-up lessons, or if I am sick or out of town during our regularly scheduled lesson time.
